Trap League Rules and Procedures
League Format
- Shoot on Thursdays – Club opens at 4:00 pm
- $15 fee (per person)
- Competition is 10 weeks long
- Each squad will shoot one round (25 targets) from the 16-yard line and the second round will be shot from a handicap distance, determined by your squad’s average score from the first round.
Example: A squad’s first-round scores total 102 points. Dividing by 5 equals 20.4, placing the squad at the 20-yard line for handicap. Scores round up at .5 or higher and down at .4 or lower. Minimum handicap distance is 20 yards.
Make-Up Rounds
Can’t make it one week? No worries—make-up rounds are allowed! You can shoot as a full squad, partial squad, or solo to catch up. Solo shooters will set their handicap based on their first-round score. Example: If shooting a make-up solo and shoot a perfect 25, handicap yardage will be the 25-yard line.
Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or new to the sport, this league offers a fun and competitive way to sharpen your skills. Grab your squad and join the action!
