Ranges
Maury County Gun Club features 3 handguns ranges and a rifle range. Whether you’re here to hone your skills or just have fun, our handgun and rifle ranges offer a variety of options for shooters of all experience levels.
Pistol Ranges
MCGC offers 3 handgun ranges. Ranges are marked off at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 yards. Each range provide a shelter with a covered roof and concrete floor. For added convenience, ranges include shooting benches and additional seating areas.
Range Hours
Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m./dark (or at range officer’s discretion)
Cost
Members: Free
Non-members: $25 Range Fee (per day)
Pistol Range Rules and Regulations
Lower Pistol Range
Permissible firearms:
Handguns, rimfire rifles, rifles chambered for pistol cartridges, shotguns – use railroad tie backer board
- No shooting glass or steel targets
- Full-auto firing is NOT permitted.
- Shotgun backer board is available at the Lower Pistol Range.
Middle Pistol Range
Permissible firearms:
Handguns, rimfire rifles, rifles chambered for pistol cartridges
- No center-fire rifles or shotguns.
- No shooting glass or steel targets
- Full-auto firing is NOT permitted
Upper Pistol Range
Permissible firearms:
Handguns, rimfire rifles, rifles chambered for pistol cartridges
- No center-fire rifles or Shotguns
- No glass targets allowed
- Full-auto firing is allowed on this pistol range only (pistol cartridges).
- Steel targets are limited to those targets provided by MCGC
Rifle Range
The rifle range has target backers at 50, 100, and 200 yards. MCGC offers a covered shelter, individual rifle rests with seats, and rifle racks for your convenience.
Range Hours
Saturday and Sunday 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m./dark (or at range officer’s discretion)
Rifle Range Rule and Regulations
- Shoot rifles and muzzleloaders only
- Paper targets or silhouettes only
- Do not shoot steel targets with ammo that will cause damage. You will be held responsible for damage!
